… and so am I. Different colorways for this retro shoe have been showing up on the web like crazy. Look at these Nike Court Force Highs that use the same colors as the original Nike Air Max 90s. INFRARED!!! I cannot handle these. I am gettin ‘em…. and bet that we are gonna have a shirt to match. Get Gross and Look Fresh.

Recently my 5yr old son came home from an evening at his grandfathers and informed me that he had spent the whole time playing ‘Tiger Woods’ golf for PS2 with grandpa. My boy was extremely excited with his new found entertainment medium. He officially calls it “The Game System”, and he was hellbent on getting one of his own.
I do in fact have a PS2 of my own that is currently collecting dust somewhere. But, I thought that most of the games would be too advanced and there is no way that Dad is gonna just run out and get what ever this kid says he wants. It wouldn’t last a week and I’d be broke, homeless and divorced from trying to spoil my kid!! So, needless to say, I went out and bought little man a used Nintendo GameCube from Gamestop. I was able to get him 2 or 3 games, an extra controller, a memory card and the extended warranty all for about 50 bucks. Dad did good. He was stoked. So was I. We played X-Men that day for a coupla hours together.
With all of that being said, my most recent assessment of the situation is as follows: DO NOT BUY YOUR 5YR OLD A GAME SYSTEM. Holy cow tongue Batman, this kids addicted! I will leave you all with a quote right out of my son’s 5yr old mouth.
“Dad, I don’t want to go to school today…..I just wanna stay home and play video games ALL DAY!”
God help me!

Well the day has come. My laptop has taken it’s last breath of life. For a split second I thought about fixing it, and then I realized how cheap the new ones are. So this may be a gift and a curse.
I will have you know that I have been 2 days without it and I have felt naked the whole time. Can’t believe I am this beholden to a machine.
Not really sure what I will be getting to replace it yet. I have looked around briefly and realized there are a shitload to choose from. If anyone has suggestions or has recently purchased a new laptop let me know.
Thanks

Our buddy Jaymie is performing a very interesting experiment. He has embarked upon a fruitful pursuit of t-shirt bliss. Jaymie, an admitted t-shirt junkie, will be displaying his tee collection to the masses. He will post pictures of each shirt he wears on consecutive days until he has exhausted his t-shirt resources.
Hopefully Team Chaunce can keep the streak alive with several more purchases from our favorite friend, Jaymie the Junkie!
Go check out Jaymies quest to stay on the wagon here.

When I was in middle school kids would say that I played ball like Charles Barkley. I never minded the comparison!
I got this book from my father-in-law this past Christmas. He knows I love bball and that Sir Charles is my favorite guy to listen to on pre-game and halftime reports. This book was neither of those things to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised.
Barkley collaborates with Michael Wilbon to bring us a collective of interviews and conversations from some of the most influential people in todays society. The book focuses almost entirely on class, economic and racial divides that are plaguing our country. Throughout the book, Wilbon and Barkley sit down with the likes of; President Clinton, Barack Obama, Ice Cube, Morgan Freeman, Rabbi Steven Leder and Tiger Woods to name a few. With candid dialogue and uncomfortable content, the book is able to capture what is ultimately eroding the ties that bond us as Americans.
Find out for yourself but I think this book should be required reading for every single kid in high school.
Thank you Charles for saying what most people aren’t.

I have always loved this cat for a number of different reasons. After reading this book I had a whole bunch more.

I know that in this age of technology and instant gratification, lot’s of us have abandoned some of our fundamental tools of knowledge. In an effort to spur some dialogue and possibly add some light to a dwindling pastime; I have highlighted some of my favorite books.
Some of these books I have found and read as recently as 1 week ago and others have been in my possession for some time now.
I encourage anyone that reads this to offer your take on my take.
